SouthFresh Fish Feed

SouthFresh Game Fish Feed is designed to allow fish of various sizes and types the opportunity to feed. Feeding fish is a proven management practice designed to aid in the number of "quality" and "trophy" size fish of all species, including bluegill, bass, catfish and many others. In addition, feeding concentrates fish for improved catch rates and provides entertainment from watching fish eat. SouthFresh Game Fish Feed is a must for serious pond managers.

> Formulated for aggressive feeding
> Contains both floating and slow-sinking pellets
> Concentrates fish for improved catch rates!

This feed contains both floating and slow sinking pellets. The benefit of this mixture is that it increases the feeding area from the surface throughout the water column. This revolutionary new concept in sport fish feeds is sure to improve feeding efficiency of all sizes of fish in your pond.

It is formulated with balanced nutrition necessary to maintain good health and proper growth. The high fish meal content enhances palatability.

To maximize consumption and efficiency it is important that feed is offered several times per day at the same time and from the same location.

Automated fish feeders are ideal for this type of feeding schedule. If it is not possible to feed on a regular basis, weekend or sporadic feedings are still beneficial and better than not feeding at all.

Automated fish feeders may be used to establish a consistent feeding time and location.

Generally, to benefit the entire fish population, one feeding station for every five surface acres is recommended. Optimal feeding rates range from two to five pounds per acre per day. Initially, the fish may not consume this quantity. Monitor the feeding activity and gradually increase the rate as activity increases. This will encourage fish to feed at the optimal level.

The total daily feeding rate should not exceed ten pounds per acre per day. Heavier feeding rates would require aeration to prevent potential oxygen problems.

The "feeding season" in ponds generally ranges from March through October. Although warm spells during the winter months may initiate some feeding activity, fish typically feed very little during the colder months. During mild winters fish will feed at the surface throughout the season. As the weather cools and the feeding activity at the surface slows, fish will continue to consume pellets as they sink in the water column.

Feed must be stored in a dry, ventilated area. Never feed insect infested or moldy feed. Do not over feed. This could result in depletion of oxygen in the water.
